Job Overview Our Food Runners play a crucial role in ensuring seamless service by delivering dishes accurately and efficiently while maintaining the highest level of hospitality. The Food Runner is responsible for assisting servers and captains in delivering food to guests, explaining dishes when needed, and maintaining the overall flow of the dining experience. This role requires speed, attention to detail, and a strong team-player mindset. Responsibilities Assist in the setup of the dining room, ensuring tables, utensils, and service stations are properly arranged. Deliver food from the kitchen to guests with efficiency, precision, and professionalism. Explain dishes to guests when required, ensuring accuracy in presentation and ingredients. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including service stations and the dining area. Support servers by clearing and resetting tables, refilling water glasses, and replacing silverware as needed. Ensure food is delivered at the correct temperature and presented according to restaurant standards. Monitor guests' needs and communicate with the service team to anticipate requests. Assist in preparing non-alcoholic beverages, coffee, and tea for guests. Maintain awareness of food allergies and dietary restrictions, ensuring safe and accurate service. Participate in pre-service and post-service tasks, including inventory checks and cleaning duties. Qualities & Requirements Prior experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-end dining environment. Strong communication skills and a warm, guest-focused attitude. Attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure. A team-oriented mindset, willing to assist wherever needed. Basic knowledge of food and beverage service. Reliable, punctual, and professional in demeanor and appearance. Comfortable working on foot for extended periods and carrying multiple plates at once.
